Ideal for large homebrew systems and Nano Breweries, this pump is constructed of food-grade materials and handles boiling wort with ease. The impeller housing is made from polysulfone as it is a tough, food-grade plastic rated up to 120C. The magnetic drive acts as a clutch allowing the user to put back pressure on the pump to slow down flow without any damage to the pump. Since it is centrifugal, it’s not self priming, you must put the pump under the level of the liquid source. This large size pump is suitable for brewery builds up to 50-400 Liters in size.
MAGNETIC DRIVE
The magnetic drive is a preferable design feature for food grade pumps. This means you drive shaft connects the electric motor and impeller. So it’s not possible for lubricants or other contamination from the motor to get into the liquid. This is the reason why so many customers like magnetic drive pumps in the food industry, pharmaseutical industry and beer industry.
