Widely used in gin production (second to juniper and coriander), Angelica root will lend an earthy and herbal foundation to your gin, binding the other botanicals in your blend. Expect woody and herbaceous notes. Orris and Angelica Root may be used interchangeably.
Every distillery has its secret mix of botanicals. Besides Juniper Berry, most Gins contain citrus botanicals such as lemon and bitter orange peel, anise, angelica root and seed, orris root, licorice root, cinnamon, cubeb, savoury, lime peel, grapefruit peel.
