Juniper Berries are the primary and most widely used botanical in gin production. We recommend it as the foundation (minimum 50%) of your botanical blend. Juniper will determine the dryness of your gin, while also providing a note of fresh pine.
Every distillery has its secret mix of botanicals. Besides Juniper Berry, most Gins contain citrus botanicals such as lemon and bitter orange peel, anise, angelica root and seed, orris root, licorice root, cinnamon, cubeb, savoury, lime peel, grapefruit peel.
