Our Peg Leg Spiced Rum Mix creates a classic spiced rum in the style of your seafaring favourites. Allspice, vanilla, cinnamon, star anise, dried ginger and orange come together to create a perfect balance of sweet and spicy to add another dimension to your aged rum. This blend is designed to be paired with the rum essence of your choosing or a straight molasses wash. Steep in your favourite spirit for 2 days or up to a week to infuse the flavour from the spices. Makes 2 litres of OP Rum but can be diluted down to your desired intensity.
Preparation:
Split the vanilla beans with a knife and (optionally) bruise the allspice berries and star anise with a mortar and pestle before adding to your botanical basket or steeping in your rum using one of the methods below:
