McKenzie Hop Pellets T-90
From $0.06 /g
Commercially launched in 2021, McKenzie C-148 is the first variety released by the West Coast Hop Breeding Company growers co-operative of Aurora, Oregon. McKenzie was bred specifically for the climate and agronomy of Oregon, maximizing the local terroir. A highly versatile hop, McKenzie works well in lighter style beers, like Lagers, Pilsners, and Kölsch and also blends well in hop-foward IPAs and Hazys. McKenzie is described as a bright and fruity mixture of classic varieties like Fuggle and Centennial; its light, citrusy and stone fruit aroma and flavor characteristics come through in late kettle additions, or dry hop for wonderful piney aromas in pale ales.
A CENTENNIAL HOP ON STEROIDS.
“The aroma profile of McKenzie is layered and complex…it has quite a bit of floral to it. It has some cedar notes to it, it has some citrus—it’s sort of a Centennial hop on steroids. If you like brewing with Centennial, you’ll love brewing with McKenzie. I’m a big fan.” – Larry Sidor, Founder, Crux Fermentation Project
