The child of two proprietary breeds from the Hop Research Center in Hüll Germany, Saphir has developed quite a cult following since its release due to its complex character that is a perfect balance between the spice, floral, and fruity elements sought after in German varieties. It is a noble-like variety with a low Cohumulone content (12-17% of AA) and mild bittering.
