Malted M1 milling grade oats imparting a creamy, velvety smooth mouth feel and haze.

Our malted oats are a testament to quality and sustainability, crafted from premium, milling-grade oats carefully sourced from local and regenerative farms in dryland regions. These oats feature an impressive large groat and a sturdy, long husk, ensuring excellent performance during lautering while maintaining the integrity of your mash.

Some brewing notes: The oats and husk will absorb more water so be prepared to increase the amount of your strike water. Mix the oats with the barley during milling to help deliver an even crush, otherwise mill seperately at a smaller (<.7mm) gap setting.

Use: Sub-Base Malt. Haze stability, smoothness, and easy lautering
Rate: Up to 20%

Hoppy Days Grain Packaging Policy

  • Orders over 9kg will be packed into multiple bags.
  • Price breaks: 5kg and 25kg (a full sack).
  • We do not repack weights into multiple smaller bags.
    For example: 8kg is one 8kg bag, not eight 1kg bags.
  • 25kg or more will be supplied unmilled only in original packaging.
  • Please select COARSE crush for Grainfather, BrewZilla and all other recirculating systems.
  • Minimum individual bag quantity is 250g. You can order under 250g but this must be combined with other grains as per your recipe to make the minimum 250g.
  • A milling fee applies to all milled grain: $2 milling fee per recipe (Recipe Kits & Recipe Builder) or a 10% milling fee per individual grain variety (ordered outside of Recipe Builder)
