Temperature Range: Glucanase Optimum has a wider and higher operational temperature range (65 – 85ºC), making it more effective in high-temperature mashes, such as those used for darker beers.

ABV Glucanase™ Optimum is a Food Grade Beta-glucanase preparation that can completely or partially break down soluble and insoluble celluloses and hemicelluloses such as those found in wheat, barley, and other cereals. Glucanase Premier is particularly useful in rye and wheat-heavy grists and will greatly aid in improving wort run-off and avoiding the dreaded stuck sparge.

• Significantly improves lautering and wort filterability problems which result from beta-glucans and complex pentosans being present.
• Guards against beta-glucan induced beer hazes.
• Improves beer filterability.

Dosage Rate: 1-2ml per 5kg grist during the mash. Dosage may be adjusted up or down within this range determined by the complexity of your grist (ie. a higher or lower proportion of problematic grains and cereals).
Storage: Store cold when not in use.
