Superdelic Hop Pellets T-90

The oil chemistry profile of this hop is totally unique in flavours & aromas reminiscent of Red Fruit, Candy/ Lolly, Citrus, and Tropical Fruit.

Developed from both European and North American ancestry, this exceptional hop is a playful number, with red fruit, candy, citrus and tropical fruit (mango/guava) characteristics, offering brewers something totally different to use in their craft. Showing sensory attributes of berry fruit in pilot brewing trials, Superdelic was fast-tracked into the NZ Hops trial hop farm programme in 2017, due to its unique aroma and chemistry profile. A versatile hop that can be used as a single hop addition and has great synergies in combination with other hops. Pairs well with Citra, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Riwaka.

“Superdelic has proven to be one of the most impressive hops of any recent releases. While it doesn’t have quite the intensity of top note aroma like some of the most famous hops, it does still provide a punchy pink grapefruit, lime, and raspberry character. Most importantly it has a sweetness of flavour and body unlike any other hop. We loved it in a single hop IPA, and in a blend with other hops in an IPA. Because of that sweetness however, our favourite place to use it has been in our Billy Cart Mid Pale, where it contributes excellent aroma as well as improved body and mouthfeel.”
